“The goal of meditation isn’t to control our thoughts, it’s to stop letting them control you.”
The mind can be a busy place. Thoughts are rushing in and out seemingly all the time. Things we forgot to do, will need to do, and are currently doing all piled up on top of each other. To say it can be a lot would be an understatement!
Then you have those intrusive thoughts. The thoughts that come on a bad day trying to eat away at you. These are the thoughts that we can’t let control us! After all, they are not the truth, they are simply thoughts.
That is the beautiful lesson meditation teaches us. We are not our thoughts and our thoughts are not our truth. Learning to simply observe your thoughts or let them drift away completely is a skill that will truly change your life.
Today I invite you to take some time with yourself for meditation. Even if it’s just closing your eyes for two minutes! Start actively observing your thoughts or disconnecting from them completely.
Try connecting to your higher self, the Universe, and your angels. Give it time and be patient. The more you practice the easier it will become and the greater the impact it will begin to have on your life.
